What the sources say about this pairing
Verizon's Orbi page says Orbi should be in AP mode so the Verizon router keeps routing and the Fios TV app keeps working. NETGEAR says to check your Verizon user guide for bridge-mode possibility.
Router-side steps
- Install Orbi with the Orbi app.
- Turn off Wi-Fi on the Fios router.
- Put the Orbi router in AP mode (orbilogin.com, Router/AP Mode).
Gateway-side steps
- Turn off Wi-Fi on the Fios router (My Fios app, My Verizon, or the router's admin page at 192.168.1.1: Quick Links, Change Wireless Settings).
- Connect your own router's WAN/Internet port to a LAN port on the Fios router.
- Set your router to AP mode (for Orbi: orbilogin.com, Router/AP Mode).
This pairing page restates what the ISP and the router maker documented. We haven't tested your exact router model; check its manual for the WAN/Internet port and DHCP settings.
